Modernisation of an Existing Unit - FARSARIS AVEE
N. Foukis I.F.E.S. SMPC. has undertaken the modernization of the Farsaris AVEE feed milling unit.
The modernisation operations include the procurement and installation of new production machinery with the aim to maximise the unit's efficiency as well as improve the quality of the end product.
Indicatively, the new machinery will include: an Andritz Optimill 500 hammer mill, a dosing silo with total capacity of 288 m3, an Andritz Optimix 2000 mixer, a 50 ton/hour pre-cleaner, an Andritz Crumbler 161 yielding 15 tons/hour and finally, a shift and a state of the art transport system.
The operations were successfully concluded in October 2018 while the production unit remained fully operational throughout the modernisation procedures.
That meant that the day-to-day activities in the factory were not disturbed or paused, which in turn, minimises the costs of the project.
